International Women’s Day – 2020
That’s RAD! Science project leader, Prof Kathy Andrews, joined ~60 wonderful women to celebrate 2020 International Women’s Day at an event at Sunnybank State High School. Two students gave fantastic presentations about who inspires them and about their passion and determination to excel. The event was hosted by Mr Graham Perrett MP and Prof Andrews gave a keynote talk about her malaria research, STEM career and the That’s RAD! Science project. Attendees received a copy of one of the That’s RAD! Science books to take home for the children in their lives. The staff and students at Sunnybank State High School provided wonderful hospitality and beautifully decorated tables! #iwd2020
