National Science Week 2019 – Brisbane Science Festival

Prof Jenny Martin launched her book “My aunt is a protein crystal scientist. That’s RAD!” at Brisbane Science Festival as part of the 2019 National Science Week. We gave out ~400 copies of Jenny’s book, along with 100 copies of earlier books on parasites (author Kathy Andrews), nanotech (author Qin Li) and forensic science (author Donna Stewart). Team members Megan Cross and Heidi Walkden also joined in for book signings. Overall, we gave out ~700 children’s books! Hopefully that means that thousands of children will be inspired by our STEM authors. A huge thank you to SCANZ and Griffith Sciences for supporting the book.
